We were so excited to find out that Lacey and Blakes wedding was featured on Wedlux.com !

We have always been admirers of their magazine and of all the luxurious weddings they post so it is such an honor to be among them.

We will be posting more photos shortly but to view their feature on Wedlux.com click here.

Caroline + James

October 6, 2011

So I’m pretty sure “FUN” is both of their middle name. Honestly. Caroline and James were such a great couple with such a great energy about them. We absolutely loved being a part of their big day. And of course as Jessica Zais always does these photos captured them perfectly. What a great bunch of people to be around and of course a beautiful setting.

Ah yes, how we LOVE the photobooth (Okanagan digital Media). Always a hit at every event it graces !

Caroline and James – many thanks for being so easy going and fantastic to work with.

May the fun never end. :)

Cheers,
Danielle

Nancy + Derek

October 5, 2011

This wedding had hollywood glam all over it. It was nothing short of class class and more class. Her dress was absolutely stunning. Vera Wang knows her stuff, thats for sure. And Nancy wore it so beautifully. I added alot of “un-necessary” photos to this bunch. In other words, photos that have absolutely nothing to do with our job as her wedding designers, however I just couldn’t resist. She looked stunning and the photography was spectacular. Once again another Jessica Zais special taken at Summerhill Winery.

Another beautifully intimate wedding.
Thank you Nancy and Derek for letting us be a part of it !
Cheers,
Danielle

Jessica + Owen

October 5, 2011

Alright, yet another amazing couple. I do not lie. We have fantastic clients. Bet you wish you were us. I know.

These two were not only super easy going but super fun to work with. The trust factor was definitely there and they let us run with it. Jessica wanted it bright but also warm and inviting. Lost of color in her bouquet and something a little different. I couldn’t possibly have enjoyed making this bouquet more. I felt spoiled to be able to just play with all the beautiful flowers we had ordered in for the big day. I loved not being restricted to one or two colors but being able to play with them all and see what I could create. Again… spoiled.

And then there was Jessica Zais Photography. How lucky were we to be able to have her shoot this wedding. She always brings such a joy and excitement to any shoot and this wedding was no different. Always a pleasure lady. Always.

The wedding took place at Summerhill Winery upstairs in the glassroom. We don’t often get to decor upstairs but thoroughly enjoyed the intimate setting that it created. And ps. If you make your way up there – have the caesar salad – trust me. Its no regular caesar salad. Its simply divine.

It was no small job but Jessica and Owen managed to get pictures of all the guests individually and we ‘hid’ them inside their name cards. What a great conversation piece and the source of many laughs throughout the evening !
Thank you so much Jessica and Owen for picking us to be such a big part of your day ! What an absolute pleasure. :)
Cheers,
Danielle

Alyson + Jeffrey

October 5, 2011

Trust is a huge thing when hiring a wedding planner/designer. It goes a long way when you find a perfect match. By perfect match I’m not talking about the couple. (although, thats pretty desirable as well. *cough cough*) I’m talking about finding a planner/designer that catches your vision. That you know has your best interests at heart and that ultimately when faced with a decision on your behalf – will make the best one for you. We strive to find these kind of matches in our business. Its where we get to reach our full potential of creativity and where we flourish. Alyson and Jeffrey were just that. The perfect match for us. Not only did we love them instantly, though never meeting them until the day before their wedding, they completely trusted us. They gave us a beginning point, told us a bit about themselves, sent us a few photos of themselves and we were free to run with it. It was exhilarating to say the least. This wedding kept both of us up at night and we were constantly running around like little school children do as the lunch bell finally rings. Full of anticipation and excitement.

I think you get the idea. We loved this wedding. Everything about it. From the trust that Alyson and Jeffrey put in us to the clear as day, knock yourself over, perfect match that they were for each other. What an amazing wedding to witness with two amazing people. This is why we do what we do. To be able to witness moments like these.

First glances are fast becoming my favorite thing ever. I never thought I would love them as much as I do. But its such a great thing to be able to spend that moment together and take your time to ‘breath’ with each other.

I fell in love with Alysons dress, to say the least. It was sheer perfection and couldn’t have suited her more. She sent us photos long before and I knew it would be among my favorites, however I wasn’t sure what kind of suit Jeffrey would pair with it and well as you can see…. they nailed it. What a great combo. They both looked so comfortable yet insanely classy and elegant. Just the way it should be.

Does anyone ever tire of old books? Really? Ok, well not me. Ever.

A big thank you to Adrian Photography for the photos and also to Vintage Origami for providing us with some of the amazing vintage decor items for this wedding… especially the vintage chair for the bouquet shot. I just had to have a photo of that bouquet on that chair. They were made for each other. Clearly.

And of course, the biggest thank you goes to Alyson and Jeffrey. You guys really made this the most enjoyable experience it possibly could have been for us. We think about you guys often and wish you both the very best. :)

Cheers,

Danielle

Rhys and Alana

July 26, 2011

Has it really been that long since I sat at my computer and put a little eye candy out into the world of wedded bliss ? Hard to believe it has. So many amazing weddings have taken place already this year. So many fantastic couples and so many endless hours spent on every little detail of every single wedding.

This wedding was no exception. We were so excited when Rhys and Alana decided The Laurel Packing House was going to be the location for their reception and The Okanagan Villa for their ceremony. We knew from that moment it was going to be a gorgeous wedding. And so it was.

Special credit definitely goes to the photographer who did the amazing job of capturing this day : Benj Haisch. Be sure to check out his blog and website ! Fantastic work.

Enjoy …

I absolutely loved this. And I absolutely want a note of my own just like it one day. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one.

Even the groom got to snap a few shots !

Such a stunning bridal party. I was absolutely in love with those dresses!

Perfection right there. Love it.

Huge thanks to Adrian Photography for the decor photos below :

All the best you two. Thank you for letting us be a part of this amazing day !

Cheers,

Danielle

I couldn’t be more excited to finally blog this. Its been a long time coming and something we are oh-so-excited about.

We absolutely love what we do and this is no exception. Its so exciting to be able to offer another twist on our business. Another avenue for those on a budget who still want a classy look with the convenience of someone else doing the hard work. Thats us. Thats what we love.

Cheers,

Danielle

Glen, Glen, Glen …

February 3, 2011

A-MA-ZZZZZING.

It’s a Glen Durrell kind of day around here. This was another show stopper of 2010. Not only in decor and details, but again, another genuinely spectacular couple. These two are adorable in every sense of the word. When you see them together you get sucked right into their little ‘love bubble’. Karen and Trenton – YOU’RE THE BEST !

Such great style this woman has !

Reminds me of an angel.

“Stunning”. There just really isn’t another word for it.

Now, THAT’S how you wrap a gift. Gorgeous.

I LOVE these two pics. So much personality. So much happiness. So much Karen and Trenton.

I could write “GORGEOUS” after every single picture !

I am crazy about the angle of this shot. Well, in reality, its everything about this shot that I’m crazy about. Nice capture Glen !

Another one of my FAVORITE bouquest of 2010.

Perfection.

And now for the stunning decor …

There is always SO much hesitation with brides when we mention the color ‘black’. We usually get that kind of side ways look like ‘are you for real?’. Yes, we are. Black is not depressing. Black is not morbid.

Black is classy.

Black is an amazing backdrop to make the colors you love pop. To really show the details and add a classiness to your event that other colors just simply can’t.

So classy. So elegant.

I have a special connection with the “R” in the background as I hand painted it for this wedding. It was definitely one of my favorite components of the room.

Simple and Bold.

Karen, you are simply breathtaking. <3

Cheers,

Danielle

The Happy Couple

February 3, 2011

I titled this ‘The Happy Couple’ because thats exactly what they are. They were such a delight to be around from the very first meeting until the very last time we saw them. A sheer delight. Truly utterly in love. It was beautiful to watch and still gives me that warm fuzzy feeling when I see the photos. Speaking of the photos, a huge thank you to Glen Durrell for capturing this day and for capturing their personalities in every photo. Another wedding that I’m crazy about. Enjoy ….

I love this woman. Her smile is absolutely infectious !

One word : “Magical”

This was the head table arrangement, constructed mainly on site as you would not believe the weight of it ! It was such a gorgeous focal point to the room !

Ria and I were both ecstatic when Christina and Karim loved the idea of artichokes in their arrangements. We always love switching it up a little. Straying from the ‘typical’ wedding flowers that, understandably, most brides go for. Artichokes, chicks and hens and amaranthus !?! Did I just die and go to flower heaven ???

Once again, I HAD to post the food. Thanks to Glen Durrell for getting shots of these beauties.

This is art. No doubt about it.

Manteo sure knows how to represent. Well done.

Alright, time to get the comfies on and have a PARTY.

Good thing the comfies were provided for men and women !

These two had what I would say is the perfect combo for an evening of insanity and fun. They had the infamous Jeff Hay who always knows how to get people moving and get the laughs rolling out one after another. And on top of that they had the photobooth to make sure these memories weren’t lost or forgetten but captured in the most entertaining way. And seriously, can you imagine the photos they must have ended up with with a group like this. (see below photos)

Christina and Karim. We can’t express what a joy it was to be a part of your day and to have the chance

to get to know you two and to be able to witness how head over heels in love you are with each other.

What a beautiful thing.

Cheers,

Danielle

Summertime Bliss

February 3, 2011

This is one for the record books… on so many levels. I’ve been trying to figure out how to capture all the beauty of it in one blog post. It hardly seems possible. Glen and Cathi Durrell did a spectacular job on the photos, which is nothing short of ‘normal’ for them. Especially considering the time restraints they had to work with to get the photos taken. Standing “O” from me, thats for certain. Alright, time for some photo love. We MUST start with the dress. This one deserves the spotlight for sure.

Did your jaw just hit the floor ? I know. Mine did too.

Not trying to toot my own horn or anything but I LOVE this bouquet !
Stunning, stunning and stunning. Picture perfect day. Picture perfect bride. Picture perfect setting.
And of course theres the Perfect Pictures to capture it all !
Now the food. Seriously I couldn’t skip this part. I tried, but it just wouldn’t be right. Manteo provided the food and let me tell you, it was top notch. Amazing to say the least. There were about five different food stations. All complete with chefs in full uniform cooking up a storm. The smell was to die for. The displays were so spectacular I had to literally hold my hands, clenched, behind my back to stop from eating them. It was no joke. No joke at all.
Alright, I could post a million photos of food but lets get to some decor goodness. Cause there was some serious decor goodness…
The couch of the year. I am in love with this couch like you wouldn’t believe. Pure perfection. Glen, you killed these, as per usual.
There were two seating areas like this in the tent with multiple other areas around the property with huge ‘lounging’ potential. ‘Lounging’ being one of my personal favourite activities at a wedding… and I think many guests would agree with me on that.
My objective in this post was to narrow the photos down to about a dozen and send you all over to the website to see the rest. Clearly I couldn’t help myself. However there are a few more over at the website so feel free to take a peek and wandering a little.
Please leave me some blog love below so I don’t feel lonely out here in this big bad blog world.
Thanks for the love.
Cheers,
Danielle
